If
"A-foot" or
on a bicycle, take the Passenger-Only Ferry from
Coleman Dock at Pier 50 in downtown Seattle (Monday
through Friday) ......last evening ferry leaves at 6:10pm
Remember;
Downtown
"FOOT" Ferries run only 5 days a week
Auto ferries run 7 days a week and take foot
passengers too and there is always service on and off the
island on Saturday and Sunday !!! (Do
you really think they could land-lock 11,000 people on Vashon
on Sunday and not give us away to get off....I don't think
so)
The
Passenger Ferry from pier 50 has limited hours of operation,
the Fauntleroy Ferry operates continuously except 1:30am to
5:30am. If your a real party animal and
want to hit the spots in the "Big City" you can
always get back to the island by way of Fauntleroy...... Use
Bus 54 at 3rd and Pike, or 2nd and
Columnbia to get to the Fauntleroy Ferry Dock in West Seattle.
On weekends you must use Bus 54 to
the Fauntleroy Ferry in West Seattle since no foot ferrys
run from down town
Auto
Directions: exit
163A off I-5 ( takes yu over the Spokane St. bridge into West
Seattle and onto Fauntleroy Way SW; the ferry dock is at the
South end of Lincoln Park.)
